August 2008

I just sat for the last examination paper of my entire polytechnic life this afternoon. No. I don’t exactly feel overjoyed. Neither do I feel sad (no way). I just feel like… Ok, good. It’s over. Now on to IBP. Yeah, which starts tomorrow. OHMYGOSH, I gotta report to school the day right after my exams! I. Am. So. Reluctant. I just wish we won’t have to report to school EVERYDAY right up to the day IAP/IBP officially starts. Which is around three weeks from now. Yes, the IAP people get to enjoy three weeks of break! Before they go off to the working world to do their attachments.

Anyways, no use complaining. Have to go tomorrow or my grades will suffer. Apparently. And like Mehul says, first impressions count. Haha. Yeah, I’m going, I’m going. Rather looking forward to IBP actually… Just feel like we deserve some sort of a break from this crrrazzyy semester.

Yay, gonna go morning pm with Reid tomorrow. :) Praying with him is really comfortable. And I can feel love. God’s love and his. :) Thank you dear, for praying for me (bout exams and… stuff) the past two mornings I weren’t with you. ;) Our future… Is secured in God’s hands.

Oh yes. Let me indulge a little and show you a drop dead gorgeous shot of Mr Reid Tan during a recent performance with some of his Strikeforce members for Breitling.

Presenting…

Whoo. Dashing, man.

Heh. Please pardon me.

Gonna watch Meet Dave tomorrow! I think.

All right, should go sleep soon.

Love the lyrics and the unique tune.

Do you hear me,
I’m talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I’m trying

Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

They don’t know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I’ll wait for you I promise you, I will

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we’re in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I’m sailing through the sea
To an island where we’ll meet
You’ll hear the music fill the air
I’ll put a flower in your hair

though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you’re all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I’m lucky we’re in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

“Lucky” I’m in love with my best friend. :)

P.S. Couldn’t find a proper version on imeem!

After visiting the career fair yesterday with Reid, we went over to Marina Square to get a drink and sit around. So we were walking at the arcade level and saw this shop dedicated to those toy machines. I don’t know the proper name for them, but you know, those machines with toys where you drop a coin in and maneuver the metal clasps so they catch the toy (or whatever other gift) and drop in in the hole? Yeah.

Anyway, we’ve played with those machines quite often but NEVER GOT ANYTHING. The toys ALWAYS, ALWAYS somehow slip off the metal clasps before it can be transported to the hole. Once we even prayed when we were trying to get a PSP. Hahahaha! We failed so many times that we decided those machines were out to cheat money (well, they are. How many million times does one have to try before they can get something? I think one out of hundreds of people get something the first time they try it.)

So anyway, we couldn’t resist when we saw the machines and decided to try. I asked Reid to try the one with the piglets cos I thought it looked really cute, all pink and chubby. So he inserted a dollar and we crossed our fingers. First attempt: Failed.  Decided not to waste more money and walked away. While we were walking back, I suddenly felt like trying again. Changed my five dollar note for coins and went back to the same machine. This time I tried first. I moved the clasps and asked Reid whether he thought the position was ok. He moved it a little more. Then I moved it some more. And then he moved it to where he felt would be the perfect position. Then he pressed the button. The clasps lowered and caught a piglet. Then it moved up and nearer to the hole. We were totally prepared for it to be another failed attempt, but guess what, the piglet was dropped in the hole! We couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise! When Reid reached down to take the piglet out from the flaps, I couldn’t believe it. We succeeded! Hahaha. And it was the first time we did it together. Usually it had be him who tries to get it but this time, it was a combined effort. :) Maybe that’s why we succeeded. :) Heh.

We took a picture but I’m having trouble sending the photo to my laptop. :(

Ok. Off to study for Masina. I should be real happy that tomorrow’s the last day of exams, but NO. IBP starts right after exams end. How very exciting. :\

Signed up for a student plan which gives me unlimited sms/mms with StarHub and got a new line and my Motorazr2 V9 in red! Reid says he will get the black one in future. Heh. Couple phone, heh. :)

So my 9155 number will soon be terminated. Please ask me for my new number if you’re interested to know. I shan’t post it here.

Anyway,

Some pictures taken with my phone! (2 mega pixel only, so nothing too “wow”.)

Saw this really cool bike at Leisure Park. There was this other huge black bike. It kinda reminded me of the one Ghost Rider rides. Heh.

Together at FOP last night.

Parachute band is cool. And Mark Conner was da bomb.

Going home after FOP however, was quite a task.

Have you seen the National Museum at night lately? They’re having this Night Festival thing going on, where lights are cast upon the building to show really cool patterns. Reid and I dropped by on Thursday to take pictures. Some were pretty nice:

This is my favourite. :) Looks like a drawing.

Looks like we’re in some other country huh. :)

Love this picture. Hehe. :) (Argh, forgot to rotate it!)

There were a few other pretty ones as well.

My teeth are perpetually aching cos I just got my braces tightened on Saturday. My front teeth need to move back a little more, and then I’m done. Oh gosh. Can’t wait to take them out! Wearing the rubber bands make it worse cos it pulls at my teeth and multiplies the ache factor by ten. :( But it’ll help move my teeth nicely so oh wells, just gotta bear with it. For beautiful teeth!
