IKEA & STEAMBOAT (IMAGE HEAVY AND HUNGER INDUCING)

Great day today. Went to Ikea. Queued up for their sacred hotdogs and with our tummies filled, went off in search for Reid’s dream bed. Many things caught my eyes along the way and we ended up spending more than three hours in that building. We went there mainly for him but I was the one who left with stuff. :P

Today was really fun although our day started out slightly late. But it was good nonetheless. We talked about when “before we become a couple” over steamboat and had some good laughs. :)

Now it’s time to sleep. It’s almost 0430 and I am so zonked out.

DECISION!

Yes. A decision, not decisions.

Anyway, had lunch at Popeye’s with Reid and his mum after they sent his brother off to a 2 year training trip yesterday. Is it just me or does the chicken at T1 taste different from T3’s? I prefer T3’s atmosphere though. Heh. So after our yummilicious lunch, we went our separate ways. Reid and I headed to Iluma for some fun. Played a little at their arcade (the only arcade i like!) and caught A Christmas Carol. I give it 2 out of 5 popcorns. Maybe even 1.5. Not worth the $8.50. Story SUPER predictable. Right from the start, I knew it was going to be about how a grumpy, stingy, mean old man changes into a loving, generous and cheery old man. And the concept of “ghosts of the past and future” is sooo been-there-done-that. But the graphics are good. And it’s still a heartwarming Christmas story – but only towards the end.

Today’s a nice warmish public holiday. Not that it makes a difference to me since I’m having my holidays. I’m still feeling slightly tired from sleeping in the wee hours of the morning but I’m not gonna waste my day away by going back to sleep. And it’s too noisy to sleep anyway ’cause my brother is playing some guitar app. game on FB. Lol. Ok it’s not really that noisy actually. Anddd I’m still waiting for Reid to wake up and call me so we can plan our day. Poor him has to work weird hours all the time for his business, leaving him with either little sleep or sleeping at odd hours.

I’m thinking of having homemade steamboat tonight! The thought of it makes me drool. Cheap and comfy. I’ve already got tom yam soup paste, just gotta get the ingredients!

Okay, time to bathe and get on with the day.

 

 

I wanna create a scrapbook for Reid and me. Something like the one from UP movie that the old couple Ellie and Carl had. By the way, their life story in the beginning of the movie was so touching it made me tear. Watch the movie if you haven’t! Holidays are the time for me to do all these things that I won’t have time to do when school starts! And it’s only about a month till school starts again. Eeeps. Time passes toooo quickly!

 

First blogshop purchase arrived today! Shoes are very comfy and a perfect fit. :) Just ordered another dress and looking for a bag now. OH NOOO. I’m getting addicted. :\ To think I was so apprehensive in the past! Now I understand how people get addicted to online shopping. Hassle free, can shop in the comfort of your home and the best part, the anticipation of waiting for your goods to arrive! Imma happy girl tonight. :)

Ok, that’s it, time to crash. My eyelids feel sooper heavy. I blame this lethargy on that monthly womanly thing. Really, it’s been a pretty “bad” two days so far. The pain and lethargy… They just keep hanging around!

Sigh! Going to sleep everything off. Tomorrow’s gonna be a better day!

 

I’m know I’m really really slow, but I made my first blogshop purchase this afternoon. Of a pair of nude beige wedges!

Simple, yet classic. Nude beige to visually lengthen legs and slight wedge to add to overall height. Perfect! Haha. I hope the shoes fit me. :| That’s the risky thing about buying clothes and shoes online. You never know if they will be a perfect fit ’cause you can’t feel nor try them.

Very excited – went to get more materials for more earring designs yesterday and when I reached home after cg, I quickly went to work. Made my third pair of earrings last night and I like them a lot! Here’s a sneak peak!

I dreamed…

I dreamed that I had a baby. My baby was so small he could fit into my palm. He was wearing super hero clothes when he was born and had the face of a cartoon character. I put him on my palm and asked my mother, was I as big as him when I was born? She said, you were smaller but wider. I dreamed that I put my baby on the upper bed of my double decker bed. I looked in on him every now and then. He never cried, and he began to gr0w to a normal baby size soon after. He had a very flat face and I found it weird. I tried pinching his nose to make it taller. There was once I did not check on him for a long time and I feared he might be dead. But he wasn’t. He was sleeping. I was so happy and relieved. I dreamed that I brought him out for dinner with family and friends and that I changed his diaper. He did not have a name and he never once spoke nor cried.

Flooded!

Omg, my beloved school, Ngee Ann Polytechnic is FLOODED! Just saw some video footage posted by an FMS junior on FB. The Atrium is COMPLETELY FLOODED. Goodness. Sigh. If only such exciting stuff happened while I was still studying there! HAHA! Ok la, it’s not a good thing that the school is flooded and a lot of disruption and damage have probably resulted from this flood. Actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the video was that I hope nobody wore brand new shoes to school today. :P I hope NP doesn’t suffer too much loss because of this “catastrophe”.

Ok… I just saw more pictures of the flood. Nooot good. It’s really pretty bad. Someone’s car apparently got covered up to the windows by the rain water. It needs to stop raining now!

On another note, parents leaving for their holiday soon. While I hope they will be safe throughout the entire trip (it’s gonna be very cold and (likely) wet), I also hope they have tons of fun. I don’t know what their definition of fun is. Definitely not the same as mine, I’m sure. Perhaps for them, having fun is visiting some relic place, having dinner at a tea house while enjoying an opera show together with a WHOLE GROUP of their like-minded friends… That explains why I’m not going with them right? Hahaha…

I wanna get out of Singapore for a bit. I’ve not stepped out of the country for the longest time and I’m aching to see the world. In fact, when I get a bit older and my parents give me the freedom to and we have more money, I wanna go backpacking around the world with Reid. I love the excitement and not knowing what life’s gonna throw you next. Seeing the world for yourself is something no tv series, book or story can ever achieve!

Had dinner to celebrate Reid’s mum’s birthday last night. I’ve got to say his parents are kinda cute! I don’t really know how to describe what I felt but I just thought they were pretty cute. Actually, that wasn’t the first time I’ve had that thought. I guess it’s the way they talk to each other? They tease, but they don’t do it in that mushy way. Rather, it feels a bit like a chiding sort of teasing if you get what I mean. And Reid’s father reminds me of him! I can so imagine Reid saying the same unintentionally funny things like his father. Hahaha.

I feel really lazy these days, not feeling like doing anything substantial. This is baaaad. I’ve got many things I want to complete during this break. Oh well, no point being so hard on myself! A break’s a break after all and it’s not like I won’t do the things I’ve set out to. It’s just… When. ;)

So for now, I shall enjoy my Locorocos (moved on to locoroco2 already!), Mobtv, Flash Forward and whatnots while they last!

P.S.: Reid’s eye is totally well now. Good as new! Hahaha.
